Sales and service personnel operate from over 100 global locations, close to 30 overhaul and repair centers, and several strategically located parts warehouses.  The Solar service organization sets the standard for service excellence,  with nearly 3,000 field service personnel uniquely experienced, qualified, and familiar with the language, culture, and business customs in the location where they work.  To support Iraqi installations that group of well-trained engineers are located in our Middle East district office located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  The engineers provide around-the-clock customer service, spare parts, training, and technical support.

Solar Turbines was selected to supply the 72 MW of power required for the Al-Ahdab Oil Field in Iraq, providing nine, 8 MW Taurus™ gas turbine generator sets to the site.  The reliability of the gas turbines is critical to production, as the Taurus gas turbine generator sets supply the power to self-support the plant so that it can operate on a continuous production schedule.

In addition, Solar has supplied several 15 MW Titan™ Mobile Power Units to Iraq for oil and gas production, as well as multiple compressor set and mechanical drive packages for oil and gas production, transmission, and power generation.
